The Board of Directors of MAMC submitted paperwork for 501C3 non-profit, tax exempt status from the organization’s existing 501C6 non-profit status. The change is being sought to relieve the organization of future sales tax requirements.
Members will be asked to vote on the proposed changes at the June 11th business meeting to be held at 1:00 p.m. at the summer conference at Crystal Mountain. As a result of this action, MAMC has been advised and legal counsel has reviewed and recommended that the existing by-laws and rules of order be combined along with several minor modifications.
