    Clerks,

Just checking to see if anyone else got a FOIA request from a Michael Morse, New Haven CT. Requesting "Affidavits of Voter Not in Possession of Picture Identification and the paired Application to Vote that were filed in the November 2016 Election."

I received it this morning. With our apps to vote sealed for 6 years, are we allowed to break the seal for a FOIA request?

I received this yesterday. I had none so it was easy for me to respond. lol
Good question Dianne, would we be allowed to remove the seal for such request?

    Because I am always skeptical....

Keep the envelope with the post mark. I noticed the letter was dated Sept. 18, however the envelope was postmarked Sept. 23. We also date stamp the letter when we received it in our office. Just a thought, maybe I am overthinking it, but better to be safe than sorry.
