Our City has been maintaining handwritten ledger style books for cemetery information since the City’s inception. The current books cover lot ownership, owner’s names and interments. Now that we have the BS&A Cemetery Software I am looking to revamp the way we maintain a hard copy backup of our system. I was just curious how/if other jurisdictions maintain a hard copy backup of their computerized cemetery information.

What format do you maintain your hard copy in? For example is it in one report that you print off or a manually updated ledger type of book?

We have Fund Balance software plus we have a cemetery sexton that keeps a hard copy of all the deeds and I keep a copy of the deeds, the sexton maintains all the burial permits. He also keeps a hand written record of the lots and owners.
