are the minutes (of a closed session) approved by your council/board?......THEN sealed away for the proper time period...

OR

are they just sealed away without approval?

I have been in places that proceeded one way, and have heard it being done the other.....what's YOUR procedure?

tanks,
boB C.

I have always had Council members sign the closed session minutes at the end of the closed session and then had them approve the minutes by a motion when they reconvene in open session.

The closed session minutes are reviewed by council at the next meeting with a closed session and then approved when council comes back into open session.

I read the draft minutes during the closed session, as suggested in Ken Verburg's excellent booklet.
