Navigating 2024!

June 17-21, 2024 | Acme, MI

The 2024 MAMC Conference will be held at Grand Traverse Resort, in Acme, Michigan.

Our theme for conference will be "Navigating 2024." We encourage you to sport your nautical-themed clothing throughout the week. So, dust off that resort wear you’ve been dying to wear all winter and join the fun!

Summer Conference is filled with a wide variety of educational opportunities for villages, townships, and cities. The conference begins with opening session, followed by breakout educational speakers, the Vendor Showcase, and the start of the silent auction*. Thursday consists of a full day of educational breakout sessions, networking with vendor booths, and the President's Dinner featuring the coveted Clerk of The Year award and President’s Recognition Ceremony. The night ends with entertainment and a cash bar. Friday closes a week of educational and social opportunities with the Annual MAMC Membership meeting and a legislative update. We hope you will join us for a week of amazing educational sessions and the opportunity to connect with clerks from around the state.

Registration ends May 10, 2024.

For registrations received May 11-17, 2024, a $75 late fee will be applied to all registrations. After May 17, 2024, no new registrations will be accepted.

Pre-Conference Sessions

PRE-CONFERENCE SESSIONS

Clerking 101 2-Day Bootcamp - June 17& 18

This course is a great opportunity for new clerks and seasoned clerks looking for a review on many basic clerk functions. The two-day class covers a wide variety of topics, such as Open Meetings Act, Freedom of Information Act, record retention and management, parliamentary procedure, agendas and resolutions, government accounting and more. Registration includes breakfast and lunch each day, as well as required class materials.

Masters Class - June 18

This course is a great opportunity for intermediate and advanced level clerks looking for advanced educational opportunities. Curriculum changes each year to provide a wide variety of topics. Registration includes breakfast and lunch each day, as well as required class materials.

Attendee Registration

ATTENDEE REGISTRATION

Registration ends May 10, 2024. Registrations received from May 11 to May 17 will incur a $75 late fee. No registrations will be accepted after May 17.

Registration includes lunch and reception on Wednesday; breakfast, lunch and the President's Dinner on Thursday; and breakfast on Friday.

Note: There are three registration options. If you plan to attend to attend only the pre-conference sessions (and not full conference), please select the Pre-Conference Sessions Only option. If you plan to attend pre-conference sessions and full conference, please select Full Conference + Pre-con sessions. If you plan to attend the full conference, and no pre-conference sessions, please select Full Conference + Pre-con sessions, but leave the Pre-Conference sessions question blank.

Registration, Cancellations and Refund Policy

No registrations will be accepted after the close of registrations. Clerking 101, Masters Class, Welcome Reception, full conference and the 5K Walk/Run require you to select those options individually.

Cancellation requests must be emailed to info@michiganclerks.org. The cancellation deadline is May 28, 2024. Cancellation requests received before May 28 will incur a $100 fee. Cancellation requests received after May 28 will be charged the full registration fee and are not entitled to a refund.

Member substitutions within the same organization are permitted at no additional cost. All substitutions must be made in writing and be accompanied by a completed conference registration form prior to May 28, 2024.

Vendor Registration

VENDORS

Vendor registration ends May 10, 2024. There are 30 exhibit spaces, which are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Opportunities to interact with the membership are provided during meals, breaks, the welcome reception, 5k walk/run, vendor reception and Thursday's vendor giveaways during lunch. The Thursday lunch vendor giveaways are optional, but are a great way for vendors to get attendee information. Bingo cards are also provided to attendees for vendors to sign, allowing attendees to win prizes.

Option 1 - Masters Class/Clerking 101 ONLY: If you plan to attend only a pre-conference session (and not the full conference), please select the Pre-Conference Sessions Only option.

Option 2 - Masters Class/Clerking 101 AND Conference: If you plan to attend a pre-conference session and conference (Wednesday-Friday), please select Pre-Conference Sessions + Conference, and then select your Pre-Conference Sessions.

Option 3 - Conference Only: If you plan to attend the conference, but no pre-conference sessions, please select Pre-Conference Sessions + Conference, but leave the Pre-Conference sessions question blank.
